The Magic is happening in Las Vegas!

Twice a year there's a huge fashion convention in Las Vegas which is properly named Magic.  It is a gathering of all things fashion and style complete with impromptu photo shoots and cupcakes!

This convention gives brands the opportunity to showcase their products for the upcoming season.  Buyers and merchants from all over flock to this event to see what's trending and place orders for their companies.

Magic is one of my favorite fashion events because I love seeing what trends and styles are coming in the future season.  Here are some of my favorite Magic snapshots!

Ballerina Look on Pointe

I found this ballerina inspired skirt on a hectic Black Friday morning many years ago.  It is LC Lauren Conrad brand for Kohl's and it has been a go-to favorite in my closet ever since I found it.

This look is my take on a modern winter ballerina with touches of twinkle in the sweater, jeweled bobby pins and delicate jewelry.  Hair is up in a ballerina bun and I added red lips for a pop of color.  I love this outfit for a date or a day out on the town with the girls.  It can easily transition from day to night for the lady with a busy schedule.

The sweater is from the Kohl’s Elle collection and booties are Vince Camuto.

DIY: Find Your Arrow Valentine's Cards!!

Check out my Urbanization post!!

There's no better way to show how much you care for your Valentine than a home made card!  Our DIY cards are inspired by this year's Find Your Arrow store theme.

Set 1: Get your supplies!

We rummaged through our craft drawers and found all kinds of goodies we could use for this project.  There's no exact list, just whatever inspires you!  If you plan on using paints then make sure you use card stock paper.  Otherwise your paper will get soggy and crinkle when it dries.

Step 2: Get crafty!

We decided to use watercolor in all sorts of fun ways.  We painted our doilies and used stencils to create all kinds of fun designs.

Step 3: Assemble!

We built our cards with glitter, feathers, layers of doilies, natural card stock paper and lots of love!  Write in a personal message and give to your loved ones!  Happy Valentine's Day from all of us at Urbanization!!

Bejeweled Decor!

New blog post on Urbanization

We all have busy schedules and sometimes our morning routine doesn’t leave much room for styling our outfits. But it’s those last simple touches that really make an outfit standout. One simple way of streamlining the process is organizing your jewelry in a way that’s easily accessible. Jewelry storage can also double as décor, especially if you do it the way we do at Urbanization. We’ve come up with some nifty ways to make our jewelry double as decoration!

If you’re limited on surface space, hanging on the wall is a great solution.  Picture frames can be a great way to showcase statement necklaces!

Vintage wooden boxes with compartments help organize and are oh so beautiful to look at!

Vintage bowls and candle votives are great for storing rings and small trinkets.

DIY projects can be a ton of fun and you can customize it for your exact needs.  We created these necklace stands with wood parts purchased at Michaels!
